Queen Sofia in controversy
A new biography of Spain’s Queen Sofia says she opposes the use of the word "marriage" to describe same-sex unions. Gay marriages are legal in Spain.

William and Harry’s charity ride

Today Queen Elizabeth II visited the British headquarters of Google. (Video)

Royal support for protesters
Today Queen Sirikit of Thailand attended the funeral of a young woman who was killed during a political protest last week. The Queen’s daughter Princess Chulabhorn also attended the funeral. Their presence is viewed as a sign of royal support for demonstrations against the government.

Sarah Ferguson’s new book
Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York — better known as Fergie — was in a New York bookstore yesterday signing copies of her new children’s book.
The book, called Tea for Ruby, is about an accident-prone girl who is invited to have tea with the Queen. It’s intended for children ages 4 to 8.
