HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND MANY HAPPY RETURNS TO QUEEN MARGRETHE.
LONG LIVE THE DANISH KINGDOM!
Happy birthday Queen Margrethe, I hope you had a wonderful day and so very many more.
I am half Danish, and when I was 13 years old (I’m now 59), I lived with my grandparents in Kollund by the Flensburg fjord. I am very proud of my grandfather, he was a Danish resistance fighter and had to go into the underground during WWII because he was in the Danish police force. My uncle Knud Simmosen was in college at the time and was hunted by the Germans because of an issue that he was involved with and had to escape to Sweden in a sailboat. He returned to Denmark as a resistance fighter during Denmark’s liberation. As you can see I am very proud of my Danish heritage.
