Royal bestsellers: November & December 2011

The Historical Atlas of Dynasties and Royal Houses by Jeremy Harwood. Starts with the birth of monarchy in the ancient Middle East and ends with coverage of modern royal houses and ruling dynasties.

The Royal Stuarts by Allan Massie. Tells the family’s story from the salt marshes of Brittany to the thrones of Scotland and England, and eventual exile.

The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton from LIFE Magazine. Includes pictures of William and Catherine; photos of their wedding; a detailed look at their families; and the best photos of previous royal weddings.

The Final Curtsey by Margaret Rhodes. Autobiography of the Queen’s first cousin and bridesmaid, who also acted as lady-in-waiting to the Queen Mother, her aunt.

Treasures: The Tsar’s Faberge Eggs. The story of the legendary jeweled Easter eggs fashioned for Russia’s royalty. (A&E documentary on DVD.)
