Snow White and the Three Stooges-Promo3Once upon a time there was a German historian named Franz Xaver von Schönwerth who spent decades collecting Bavarian folklore, including hundreds of fairy tales. He published a book in the 1850s, but his work was soon forgotten.

Now his collection of fairy tales has reportedly been rediscovered, and some of them have been republished in German. You can read an English translation of one of the stories here: The Turnip Princess.
