Prince Philip “progressing satisfactorily” after operation

There has been an update from Buckingham Palace on the Duke of Edinburgh’s health.
According to the official press release:

His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh has had an exploratory operation following abdominal investigations.

The results will now be analysed.

At this early stage he is progressing satisfactorily.

Before the Duke entered the hospital on June 6, the Queen invested him with New Zealand’s highest honour, the Order of New Zealand:
