Some articles temporarily unavailable

Due to a blog update, the Guardian articles are currently unavailable. I think they should be restored in an hour or two. Sorry for any inconvenience.

UPDATE: A few of the Guardian articles are now displaying properly, but most are not. This seems to be due to incompatibility of the Guardian plugin with the latest version of WordPress. As I understand it, the Guardian plugin will be updated later this week, and at that time the missing articles should return to the blog.

SECOND UPDATE: Well, the articles have returned, most of them without any titles or tags, but I think I’ve fixed them all now. If you find a post that needs a title, please leave a comment to let me know and I’ll correct it.

The blog is back in business!

I think I’ve repaired most of the damage done during the blog’s recent, er, hiccup. I hope you like the new theme. If you encounter any difficulties using the blog or notice anything that’s still missing, please let me know in the comments.

Sigh… blog problems

I encountered difficulty updating WordPress, causing the theme to disappear, along with the archive page and all the Guardian articles. Sorry. I’ll get things working again as soon as I can.

Problem with images

PicApp has replaced many of the photos on my sites with random images of Burger King, the rock star Prince, the rock group Queen, and so forth. I am working on removing all traces of PicApp from my sites, but it will take a day or two. In the meantime, my apologies for any stupid photos you may encounter.

Blog redesign

This blog is being redesigned, so things will be in disarray for a little while. Everything should be back to normal shortly.

A blog makeover

I’ve changed this blog’s theme, but I’m not sure I like it… do you? All comments welcome. Unless millions love this, I might just change it again.

Display issue in IE 6

A friend made me aware of a problem with the way this blog displays in Internet Explorer 6. If you’re using IE 6, you’ll probably see a gap at the end of the first post on the main page that’s not supposed to be there.

This isn’t a big deal, but if it bothers you, you might want to upgrade to the latest version of IE. Or try Firefox. It’s a good browser, and it’s free.

2009 UPDATE: This blog has a new (purple) theme, but I’m told the new theme also doesn’t work properly with IE 6. I apologize for this. The IE 6 browser has a bad reputation. Here’s a look at why you should stop using it.

Many of the photos on this blog will look better in Firefox than in Internet Explorer. I use Firefox and I definitely recommend it.

The NEW new Royal News Blog!

Welcome to the Royal News Blog at its NEW new location!

I recently moved the blog (from its original location on TypePad) to WordPress.com, but that only lasted a few hours because I soon realized WordPress.com wouldn’t let me use javascript. No javascript would mean no royal news photos, so it was goodbye WordPress.com and hello RoyalNewsBlog.com!

Please update your bookmarks, because the old Royal News Blog on TypePad will soon be taken offline.

I know the blog looks bare right now. That’s temporary. I have to find a theme and get things organized here.

Ideas? Suggestions? What do YOU want from the Royal News Blog that isn’t out there already? Please share!

This blog offers only a taste of what the World of Royalty has to offer. If you want to see all of the latest royal news from around the world, visit Royalty.nu’s Royal News page!
