Wow. June is going to be a big month for new royalty books, especially fiction. Here’s a sneak peek:

George II: King and Elector by Andrew C. Thompson. A detailed biography of the largely forgotten British king.
Finding Sarah: A Duchess’s Journey to Find Herself by Sarah Ferguson. Prince Andrew’s ex-wife discusses her struggles with comfort eating, self-loathing, reckless spending, etc.
Untold Story: A Novel by Monica Ali. A fictional princess (inspired by Princess Diana) fakes her own death.
The Tudor Throne by Brandy Purdy. Fiction. After Henry VIII’s death, his daughters, Mary and Elizabeth, become rivals.
Before Versailles: A Novel of Louis XIV by Karleen Koen. Fiction. France’s 22-year-old King Louis willfully takes everything he can get — including his brother’s wife.
Publication dates are subject to change. The full list of new royalty books will be published on the Royal Books page on June 1.
If I could only read one of the books mentioned above, I’d probably pick the one about Athelstan because I like reading about the Middle Ages. Which book would you choose?
I admit that I’m curious about Sarah Ferguson’s book as well as the book about Empress Cixi.
Well, I’ll admit I liked Fergie’s first book, My Story – thought it was surprisingly honest.
