King Tupou VI of Tonga and his wife, Queen Nanasipau’u Tuku’aho, had an audience yesterday with Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. The king and queen are reportedly visiting London to prepare for the king’s coronation next year.

Yesterday Tonga’s King George Tupou V (at right in first photo) welcomed New Zealand’s prime minister, John Key (left), at the Consular House in Nuku’alofa, Tonga. One of the king’s dogs was excited to see the royal guests, jumping up to bite the hand of New Zealand’s Maori Affairs Minister, Dr Pita Sharples.
